Okay, this is my first post. Not exactly my first time of using WordPress though. This is my… second time!

The second time? Yes, the second time. I deleted my first WordPress installation since I got bored with it. But after awhile, a friend of mine was asking about WordPress, then I realized that I found myself got pretty curious about WordPress all over again!

Lots of website are now using WordPress as their “web engine”. I also was told by a friend, that he actually likes WordPress better than CMSMS. Building page elements, such navigational element, is much easier in CMSMS, but WordPress offers more flexibilities, since it’s more like a traditional HTML editing than CMSMS. I haven’t try to write any custom code for WordPress, but I had had experience in writing custom codes for CMSMS and built three websites using CMSMS with that friend of mine. So yes, I know quite a bit about CMSMS.

The new WordPress admin page is also more pleasing to the eye than CMSMS or the previous version of WordPress. I really like it. Indeed CMSMS admin page is more powerful, but it’s design makes me feel like, “eeww”. It’s for technically-savvy person. An average person would open their eyes wide in horror, and their face will turn blank in an instant. More than once I saw this phenomenon when I’m presenting CMSMS admin page to the persons that are responsible for the (website) content. After explaining the basic functions and pages to them, they’ll ask in soft voice, almost whispering, “Uh, okay, how do I open that editor page again?”. And then, it’s my turn to open my eyes wide in horror.
